Is DORBAS a manufacturer or a trader?
A: Source manufacturer with independent R&D, integrating hardware R&D, structural design, production and assembly, and technical solution services. It supports supply of standard products and customization of personalized project solutions.
-
Can project proposals and drawing deepening support be provided?
A: It can provide technical support such as preliminary proposal suggestions, system topology diagrams, point lists and drawing coordination for design institutes and engineering integrators.
-
What are the advantages of KNX system compared with 485 private hotel RCU system?
A: KNX is an international open standard without vendor lock-in, and KNX devices from different brands can interoperate. Adopting a distributed architecture, it ensures that failures of partial devices will not affect the operation of the whole system, and features strong scalability, making it more suitable for large long-term operation projects such as hotels, hospitals, commercial complexes and rail transit. Most 485 systems adopt manufacturer-specific private protocols, which are hard to achieve cross-brand compatibility.
-
What is the maximum number of devices supported by the KNX system and how to expand and network for large-scale projects?
A: A single KNX bus supports up to 64 devices. For large multi-zone projects, KNX IP routers (such as DLI623T-K) can be used to build an IP backbone network and divide multiple bus segments to realize cross-regional networking expansion.
-
Can DORBAS KNX modules be mixed with KNX panels from other brands such as ABB, Schneider and HDL?
A: Yes. All KNX-certified devices follow unified standards and support cross-brand interoperability to meet flexible selection requirements of projects.
-
What is the lead time for standard products? Is sample testing available?
A: Normal lead time for standard stocked models is 3–7 working days. Customers can apply for samples for pre-project testing.
-
What software is required for KNX system commissioning? Is technical guidance provided?
A: The official ETS software is used for KNX programming and configuration. We provide remote technical guidance, and on-site technical support services can be negotiated for large projects.
-
What is the product warranty period? What does the warranty cover?
A: The standard hardware warranty period can be stipulated in accordance with the project contract. Repair or replacement services are available for non-artificial damage within the warranty period, and lifelong technical consultation is provided.
-
Can engineers be arranged to provide on-site technical training?
A: For long-term cooperative integrators and large-scale projects, product training and basic KNX commissioning training can be provided (details can be discussed through business communication).
