Illuminance and infrared motion sensor
DTS606-K
This manual provides users with detailed technical information of the illuminance and infrared motion sensor, including installation and programming details. It also explains the operation of the sensor with practical application examples. The sensor adopts recessed ceiling mounting.
The illuminance and infrared motion sensor is mainly used in lighting applications related to brightness, or scenarios requiring occupancy monitoring to trigger actions upon detection of motion. It is integrated into the system with other devices via the EIB/KNX bus. The ETS engineering configuration software is used to set up and operate the whole system.
The illuminance and infrared motion sensor is mainly mounted on ceilings. It is a device that senses external signals and physical conditions (such as light and motion), and transmits the sensed information to other devices (such as dimmers and relays) to realize corresponding functions. It connects to the EIB/KNX system via EIB bus terminals. The engineering configuration tool ETS software (version ETS4.0 or higher) is used for physical address assignment and parameter setting.
Function Description:
(1) Cyclic output of illuminance values;
(2) 2 illuminance control channels, supporting 1-bit, 4-bit and 1-byte data output;
(3) Infrared motion trigger control function;
(4) Logic function for infrared motion and brightness;
(5) Infrared motion master-slave function;
(6) Enable or disable channel control output of illuminance and infrared motion via communication objects;
(7) Combined use of illuminance and motion to jointly control lighting;
(8) 2-in-1 sensor integrating infrared motion and illuminance.

(1) Read all instructions thoroughly before use.
(2) Keep away from air conditioners, refrigerators, stoves and other locations with sensitive air temperature changes.
(3) At a constant temperature, wind speed has limited impact on the sensor.
(4) When the ambient temperature approaches human body temperature, the sensor response may become insensitive or even fail.
(5) No furniture, large potted plants, glass, curtains or other objects shall be placed between the sensor and the detected human body.
(6) Do not aim the sensor directly at doors, windows or areas with direct sunlight (for both illuminance and motion detection). Otherwise, thermal airflow disturbance and pedestrian movement outside the window, as well as drastic light changes, will cause false alarms.
(7) Maintain a well-ventilated environment.
(8) Keep away from moisture, vibration and dust during operation.
(9) Do not expose to rain, other liquids or corrosive gas.
(10) Dry the device promptly if it gets wet or contaminated by liquid.
(11) Contact professional maintenance personnel or our company if the device malfunctions.
